Jonathan Leong is a serial technology entrepreneur and founder of Nogle Limited (“Nogle”). He designed and implemented complex technology driven exchange trading platforms utilising bespoke and best of industry know-how.
Nogle is a venture investment studio which identifies ideas in the technology arena particularly in the highly evolving FashionTech, FinTech and EduTech spaces, which it then develops, funds and builds into ready-to-market businesses. Nogle uses its platform of proprietary technology know-how, business consultation and management services, shared operational resources and human capital, to accelerate and scale ideas.
Jonathan started Nogle as the CEO and has grown the team from two to over 400+ employees worldwide. He has wide ranging experience in product development, growth strategies and operations. An early believer and adopter of blockchain technology, Jonathan has significant experience and expertise in crypto-centric ecosystems, particularly relating to exchange operations, trading functionalities and in stress-testing value propositions related to crypto-assets.
Ran Wang has over a decade of investment experience in US and China. Ran’s career has been focused on venture investments of frontier technology, blockchain, VR/AR, AI, IOT or so. He has also proven to be a successful serial entrepreneur.
Ran is co-founder of Oyster Ventures (a China-US venture capital firm targeting early stage technology startups and blockchain investment opportunities) and has managed a series of funds with a total AUM of over USD$ 200 million. Prior to that, he was Director of Investments at Qihoo360, one of the largest Internet companies in China.
Prior to that, Ran has spent several years at IBM Almaden Research Center at Silicon Valley to explore frontier technology, after founding and exiting two tech startups.
Sophie Liao is a specialist cross-border investor with over a decade of experience leading business collaborations between Asia and North America across Media and Technology industries.
Sophie is co-founder of Oyster Ventures where she was instrumental in sourcing proprietary and building the extensive network of industry leaders within the blockchain technology space. Prior to co-founding Oyster Venturs, Sophie was Managing Director Asia-Pacific at Rothenberg Ventures, one of Silicon Valley’s top investment forms targeting early stage companies in frontier tech, and also serves as a venture partner of DFJ Dragon, Tim Draper's US-China fund.
Prior to that, Sophie was M&A portfolio manager at Eight Solutions, a list-co at Canada, Head of BD at Cameron Pace Group, a world leading 3D/VFX company, and Producer of CCTV, the largest China TV network.
Hank has a decade of financial technology experience, building cutting-edge financial trading platform both in the US and in Asia. As the CTO of Nogle, he leads a team of in-house engineers, designers and product managers to define and develop ideas into technology products. Hank has been central in ensuring that our venture building team is functioning at its best by creating and continually improving our internal processes. He also believes in open communication both within and across teams, and welcomes all ideas from Nogle.
Before joining Nogle, Hank has held tech development positions at leading US investment banks (Morgan Stanley, UBS) and financial trading positions at several high frequency trading firms. He also started a proprietary trading firm to invest his own assets. Hank holds a Master of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has two Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science and Finance from the MIT.
Waikit is the co-founder and Managing Partner of Waterwood Group and has over two decades of management, investment and M&A experience in Asia.
Previously, he was Managing Director at the WI Harper Group, where he built an extensive track record, including the successful investment and sale of PT Satelit Palapa Indonesia. Waikit was also CFO of Asia2B, and has been Director and Advisor to media groups including the China Films & Video Group, Paramount Publishing Group, and the China Intl. Television Corp. Prior to that, Waikit was Vice Chairman & COO of Seapower Financial Services, Executive Director of the Wah Tak Group, and also a Corporate and Securities Lawyer at Baker & McKenzie.
Waikit is a law graduate from the University of Hong Kong and is a qualified lawyer in Hong Kong, California, Singapore, and England & Wales. He currently manages over USD$900 million of active funds with focuses on TMT, FinTech and consumer sectors.
Krishna Ramachandra is Managing Director ofDuane Morris & Selvam LLP in Singapore and of Duane Morris & Selvam (Myanmar) Limited. He is head of the Corporate, FinTech and TMT Practice Groups which includes M&A and capital markets, investments funds, private equity, financial technology and telecommunications, media and technology. Krishna also has significant experience in Myanmar, having worked in Myanmar for over 5 years.
Krishna advises issuers, fund managers, investment banks, venture capitalists, listed and private companies, start-ups and high net worth individuals in Asia, Europe and the U.S. on a wide range of equity and debt securities issuances, compliance and regulatory matters. His extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions and take-overs, private equity participation and exit strategies has led to his being regularly cited by the reputable directories as a leading lawyer.
Krishna graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge with an LL.M. in Corporate Finance and is an Advocate & Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore and a Solicitor of England and Wales.
